  Dark purple in the glass. Nice dark fruit profile. Tannins a bit strong at this point. Medium finish. Will likely gain a point in a few years when tannins settle a bit.

  S&E Napa Extravaganza (at Home): Another surprise of the evening (after the unveiling) as this rating was higher than I have ever given Lede - and I am not normally a great fan.
  
  Some acidity in the finish, although the finish is a little short.
  
  While the color and nose seemed to indicate a fruit bomb, it is not a fruit bomb and has hints or restraint.

  One hour decant. Dark fruits, unresolved tannins. Needs more time in the cellar.

  Red/black berry fruit nose with clay and spice notes. Structured palate with smoky tannins; good length, dark berry finish.
