Coffee grinds, some vegetal notes, prunes, dark fruits; palate is silky and resolved, good fruit, soft tannin. From 375ml, maybe a few years past peak but still enjoyable

sb At ten years this is drinking quite well. Rather restrained cabernet, I thought this was old world at first glance. With an hour, a bit more forward, but nice balance and hides it’s 14.3% well Probably at peak, drink or hold.

Slow oxed for 2hr prior to consuming. Dark purple in color, no bricking on the rim. Loads of black and blue fruits in the nose, a bit of oak and wet earth as well. Pretty simple and straightforward, nothing is really jumping out of the glass. In the mouth, the wine is med-full body, med- acid, med + tannin. Pulpy texture with some grippy tannin. Fruit is ripe black cherry, blueberry, vanilla, oak, earth. Very typical, I was expecting a bit more heft, this is a bit understated and simple. Maybe it needs more time for everything to flesh out?

Drank on the downside. Likely much better in its prime
