Very enjoyable. I opened the bottle 5 days ago and finished today. One of the great things about many of the sweeter Riesling as they can last in the fridge for days without decline. Simple but very nice. Easy to drink after a long day.

A nice and pleasing wine. Lots of acidity being reasonably balanced by the sweetness. Lemon, tropical fruit and a slight note of bitterness, reminding of lemon zest or grapefruit. Not very complex, but nice. Drank well to smoked salmon. We feel that Loosen’s wines often have a sharper bite of acidity than e.g. Molitor’s and Nik Weis’, which Loosen sometimes has a hard time balancing with sweetness.

Great Domaines - Dr Loosen Tasting (Culture Bar Bree Street): (Tasted Blind): Crystal clear ripe peaches, nectarines and exotic floral notes deliver an incredibly pungent and attractive nose. A line of mouthwatering, citrus-inspired acidity is balanced by a wealth of sweet tropical and exotic fruits. Tight, there are some slate aspects of mineral here, a glassy texture and an alluring, beckoning feel to the wine. Subtle, tense and clearly shy, this has concentration and depth with a gorgeous pithy grapefruit/lemon zest extending to a long finish. Brilliant wine!
