Wonderfully delicious from the first sip to the last. Medium to full-bodied, precise, and had everything you'd want from a Chardonnay: stony minerality, bright citrus, a nutty, savoury edge and the merest hint of grilled pineapple. A very long finish, with a tight feel that betrayed the wine's youth. We drank this between three, and we'd have immediately drunk another bottle if there had been one to hand!

Great nose of apricot, granite, melon. Light salinity, tropical melon on the palate. Excellent QPR - really smooth and balanced. Quite tasty right now, tastes close to maturity. Score: 91. Relative to expectations: ++

$100+ Blind Tasting (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): Walled monopole (now Premier Cru) of Chateau Fuisse, dense clay and perfect south/southeastern exposure, average vine age of 45 years, barrel fermented and aged for 12 mos in 80% new oak; candied lemon, apricot, exotic, so much intensity, coiled up power, while it is approachable this wine's best is yet to come; crazy high QPR.
