My tasting note is based on comparable chambolle musigny village...on an ordinary scale it would be in the mid 90s range, so 2-3pts. lower (call it 96pts.). This is outstanding. Very approachable young but will be extremely good as it ages. Not as difficult to read or structured in its youth like Roumier's version of C-M, and not as delicate as Mugnier...somewhere in between but comparable in hierarchy in my opinion. I've always loved Fourrier's chambolle. Like Mugnier a little better but I put this ahead of Roumier, in case readers would like to calibrate their taste to mine. In a word, Bravo!!!

La Paulée de Los Angeles Grand Tasting (The Fairmont - Santa Monica CA): Walkaround tasting. Rich red cherry and berry with bright, crunchy textures that stand out for Village wine in this ripe vintage. Very balanced and tasty now.

Assessing 2021 Burgundy-La Paulée de Los Angeles Grand Tasting (Fairmont Miramar, Santa Monica): Light ruby. Light to medium weight. Surprisingly juicy, tangy black fruit, excellent acidity and soil followed by a dry, grainy finish. Very good village Chambolle that requires at least 5 more years to unclench.

Young and wound up AF. give it years (or hours and hours)
Much better on day 2. It shed its stewyness and just showed youth for a ripe vintage. Let these sleep.
