I was worried about over ripeness given some producers and recent notes. This was ripe. Red fruited though with hints of blacks and very well poised. Dense concentrated fruit. Finishes strong and powerful and with rather firm coarse tannins giving this much needed backbone. Seemed to firm up with air. Would hold other bottles
