An excellent bottle. Drank identically to how my bottle on June 15th 2021 drank. A balanced burgundy on the red spectrum of fruits and berries. See my notes from that date… cause I’m lazy.

Pronounced nose intensity with notes of mushroom, spices, red fruits, strawberry, cherry. Medium acidity and medium tannin. In its drinking window now.

Pre-dinner BTG at 67PM: A little more rustic than the Vosnes from this producer that I have tried but still had the signature elegance. Nice dark cherry fruit but quite tight at the moment.

Hudelot Noellat Dinner with the Wine Group (Zazie's, San Francisco): Stood up for 6 months but still sediment in the last 3-4oz, decanted off. Light ruby, slight bricking consistent with its age; high intensity aromatics, red fruited, notable vosne-like spice, slight floral, complex and engaging; palate is medium-bodied, elegant satiny texture throughout, low integrated tannins, medium 13.5% alcohol, medium-plus acidity, plenty of primary red fruit; medium-length finish. The nose on this is exactly what I hope for with Murgers (near Vosne), with a balanced palate as well. Youthful, but very enjoyable and showing as expected. Easily a decade ahead of it. 92-93+ Double decanted 2 hours: beautiful, aromatic wine. It has the edge over the 2013 tasted alongside. Exactly what I look for in burgundy: intense spice aromatics, balance on the nose and palate, easily drinkable. 93+ Day 2: Exceptional balance and still has the incredible Vosne aromatics.

Slow ox for an hour. Got better but not as good as my last bottles. More old school and tired than my last bottles. One glass left, day 3. Still holding up but a 89 now.
