Transparent ruby red with pink rim. Redcurrant, raspberry, dark cherry, oak, mild toasted barrel, Mediterranean herbs, mild game, potting soil, vanilla, floral, cotton candy and spices. Medium-high acidity, medium-bodied, medium tannin, and medium alcohol. Long caramel finish.
Well-balanced, not commercial but no oomph. This bottle needed at least 2 hours of breathing for the flavors to open.

Just had to drink one of these so someone besides D.F.C. can weigh in. :) :) I would give it a little more time, but this has nice structure and depth. Maybe a touch more oak than would be ideal. Otherwise it works, and will get better over the next couple of years. Cheers!

Had with a ribeye steak and on its own after decanting for 30 minutes while keeping at 60 degrees. Earthy, mushroom like smell. Mid crimson. Red cherry, red currant, smoke, chocolate, spice, earth, barnyard/animal. Mild Tannins, nice finish. First time trying, it’s good, but not really my type. Wouldn’t buy again.
