Walkaround tasting so just short notes: The vines were planted in 1964. The wine is raised in big barrels for 4 years. The result is a full bodied and tasty wine with juicy acidity and sticky tannin and a great length. Already a pleasure, but better wait another 3 – 5+ years. 93 – 94 for now.

Dark red; beautiful nose of ripe red fruits. Tasted over the course of several weeks using Coravin. Consistently great. Chewy tannins, long finish, red fruits very prominent and wonderful mouthfeel. Very little bad to say here. A reliable and very enjoyable glass.

Dinner at Ecco , St Moritz (Ecco , St Moritz): Decanted for a good hour and really helps the wine develop. Quite the modernist Brunello and frankly a difficult one to place in a blind tasting. Granted still on the youthful side but still ever so welcoming and polished wine, dark fruited, dark cherry notes, good use of oak here and polishes the wine well out of any sharp edges . Granted our exposure to brunello is limited but still a very pretty wine. 93 and lots of life ahead.

way too young, but it opened up nicely with air... lots of tart cherry and red plum, many minty and herbal tones... tannins are intense but very fine, this grips firmly, have some steak with it, or save it for many years, and then have it with steak.
Tasted at a recent dinner, this is still tightly coiled and has at least 2-3 years ahead of it before it's good to go. It is going to be spectacular with that time; at the moment there's reticence but you can detect the underlying power of the fruit here along with the quality of the vintage.
