  • Consumed at Carbone Miami with a hedonistic amount of pasta and veal parmesan.

A: visible sediment, deep tawny core into a lighter red/brown rim
N: med intensity, almost all tertiary notes, leather, earth, mushroom, mossy floor, some floral notes of hawthorne and acacia
P: med intensity, stewed cherries, fig, stewed strawberries, plenty of earthiness, forest floor, wet earth, licorice

Low tannins, soft but still there, med acid, med body. A beautiful Borolo that shows how it changes structurally with age. Quite a lot of earth with a lot of the fruit being overpowered by those tertiary notes. Would definitely say it is time to drink this if you have it. 91pt

  • Served in Burgundy glasses. Easy to confuse the nose, according to our sommelier friend, with red Burgundy. Still sharp, rose-red with a touch of brown on the eye. A touch of barrel and excellent fruit on the nose as well. Soft on the palate with still eminent fruit and Bordeaux like tannin. Long finish. Excellent!!!
