  • Smør og epler på duft. Rik i munnen, men med god friskhet. Veldig moden frukt først, litt kvede mot slutten. God vin, men kom på bordet samtidig med Leflaives Combettes, og druknet.

  • 2005 Burgundy blinds on Jason's roof: Quite a contrast to the Raveneau, this is a Big Boy. While showing the fully correct profile on the nose (a bit of honey and a touch of wax), there's actually not much fruit on this, just body - you can tell this was made with a fair amount of (now integrated) oak. Starts to unfurl with time in the glass, and I wish we'd decanted this. A slightly older school Meursault that likely won't get any better due to the vintage, but is still very good with air.

  • Gorgeous white burg drinking at peak. Honey, Flores, nuts, aromatic layered and very interesting. Loved this!

  • As have been many times; last bottle is simply the best. You take this bright gold colored gem into your nose and you smell a symphony of grapefruit, citrus, smoking with fire works of honey, slightly saline, cloves. As the temperature goes slightly up and it has been aired a bit more the volatile diamond flies over giving you the impression of seeing vanilla shadow along and yet it has changed to something else just as you start seeing it on your palate and imagination... Just one tad too much sulfer for me but that is really nagging as I don't believe in perfection, neither in life nor in wine, but just as good as it gets and in perfect drinking window. Cheers,

  • couple hours open but even at pop this was singing, so ready now, lush and vibrant fruit, nuts some honeyed aspect, great acidity, everything in harmony now. This is why I drink WB.
