  • Delicious. Started to really show itself after after 7-8 hours of air.

  • Oxidative style Savagnin. Decanted for an hour and drank in Mazatlán at dinner.

Green almonds, walnuts, bitter pears, fresh quince, fresh yellow apple, dry caramel on the nose. The palate is completely consistent with the aromas. A long, lingering nutty finish is probably the best part of this. The intensity of both flavors and aromas is high - almost too high because it really overpowers any kind of food with which you could try to pair this.

Full bodied with medium acid. Feels more alcoholic than 13%. Tried to pair it with a filet of snapper; but probably best to have it with something like nutty cheese...or just by itself.

  • Unique. Medium gold color. Initially tastes oxidized but after 20 minutes it opens up nicely. Honey, mango, stone fruit, and pineapple. Medium plus depth with decent acid. Not something I would have frequently but a very nice change of pace.

  • Sensational. In both the literal and traditiional senses. And this is all about senses. Cerebral switch flicker. Vin-neutropic. You can let it breathe for a week at room temp and it won't give an inch.

The aromas are beautifully saturated with oxidized notes. Honey butterscotch, beeswax and Kentucky bourbon. Tropical notes. Papaya apricot. Floral stuff. Violets, white jasmine. And the chemical residue of a new leather handbag.

It tastes hot, but its only 12.5%. Finish powerful and long to completely exhaust your neurons.
