Some reductive, burnt rubber on nose at first but blew off after 30 mins in decanter. Lovely concentrated smoky cherry on nose and palate with good intensity and finish, a pleasing bitterness. Slightly more intense version of the Badia a Coltibuono style.

A business lunch (Restaurant De Juwelier *, Amsterdam, NL): A classical Classico. Transparent and fresh, good weight of ripe cherry fruit, hints of earth and tobacco, elegant and energetic, well-judged tannic grip, finish has very good length.

Opens with a bit of funkyness, some of it carries on but not disturbing after a while. Damp forest, strawberries, salmiak and perfume. Touch of cigarrbox. In the mouth its a pleasant light mouthfeel with noce nice energy. Balanced acidity and perfect amount of sangiovese bitterness. Present but controlled tannins. Its is not very long but leaves the mouth in a nice balanced way. Really good chianti!

결론부터 말하면 간만에 만족한 데일리 와인.
사람 입이 얼마나 간사한지 말하자면 끝이 없겠지만 와인도 그러하다.
데일리 와인의 가격은 올라가면 올라가지 떨어지기 쉽지 않다.
그런 면에서 만족감을 줬던 이 와인은 노즈부터 괜찮았다.
상큼한 체리와 같은 붉은 과실향이 먼저 나는데 이어서 오크 향이 나기 시작한다.
시간이 지날수록 가죽향 비슷한 향이 나기 시작하는데 그렇다고 과실향이 사라지진 않는다.
팔렛에서는 쓴 맛이 아쉽긴 하지만 적당한 산도, 탄닌을 보여주고 있다.
그렇다고 산도가 엄청나게 치는 것이 아니라 적당해서 전통적인 키안티와는 조금 결이 다르다.
시간이 지나도 이러한 맛이 사라지지 않아서 길게 마셔도 즐거울 듯 싶다.
