  • Good amarone. Not an amazing one. Heavy on alcohol but they always are. Nose is a lil mute but u can smell red fruits Unfortunately I didn’t air it out nor decant it. I’m sure it would’ve been better. Still a good wine an I have no problem drinking another. Tannins an acidity are working well together and both of them are doing overtime. Taste falls off but the tannins an acidity linger on afterwards.

An hour later the wine has changed. It has gotten better. Smoother More balance to it. Tannins a lil softer and the acidity is still kickin. In a good way

  • WTSO Premium Wine Event: Amarone
Day 1: Pop and pour but not ready. Vinturi time and wow what a difference. Exotic spices, dried herbs, bitter chocolate, rose petals, coffee grounds and minerals. Excellent. 91 points
Day 2: Better than day one. Blackcurrants, roasted coffee beans, plum, spice, dark chocolate, toffee and minerals. Very complex and nice finish. 92 points
Day 3: Holding form on day 3 to the experience of day 2.
Recommendation: I would hold on to these for about 5 years and open one. Nothing wrong on the present but I think these will improve. 92-94 points

  • - Garnet color with slow forming legs and aromas of blackberry, cherry, black pepper and vanilla. It's in total harmony and has flavours of black pepper and cherry with a full body. Smooth texture with a long finish - Decanted two hours before we drank it. It needs time. Barnyard (corked) original nose blew off very quick. Let the wine open.

  • Benefitted from some air time. Garnet at the edges. Nose of rose, savory herbs, dusty dark fruit plums. Some mineral notes. Medium body medium finish. Perfect for a lovely meal at Sassella.

  • Nose of med+ Intensity with dark ripe fruits, a hint of oxydation, dark cherry, plum, herbs such as thyme and rosemary,

Med + Alcohol, pronounced Tannins, med+ acidity, with loads of chocolate, coffee, amaretto, ripe cherry, very long aftertaste like 30/4à seconds at least with aftertaste of plum and dark chocolate, tannins still need more time for integration but the wine holds well together still !

Decant at least 3/4 hours to enhance

Intense wine, with ages ahead of him !
