This may be a Petit Chablis, but for me it is done with the care of a Chablis. Golden yellow in the glass, notes of white fruit, white melon, flowers, citrus. In the mouth it has a very marked minerality, with a clean and savory finish.

Needs time to open up. Starts out with a nose of stone fruits, pear and citrus. Round and smooth one the palate, beeswax, honeyed notes. With air, chalk and salt emerges, and the wine seems to firm up. Last glass much better than the first, 2020 is a solar vintage, however and I think that shows thorough. Good wine, but not my favorite vintage.

Mostly green fruits, but not the juicy kind. Green pears, quince, white guava. Saline. On the palate, honey, beeswax, grassy. Simple finish. Amazing for what it probably costed on release from the winery, good for the 80 USD I paid for it.

Nothing petit about it, this has the quality that you'd expect from such an incredible producer. Laser focused and complex, with chalky minerality, white flowers and stone fruit. Evolved over 2 hours. Really delicious juice you could cellar for years or drink now while waiting for the 1ers and grands crus to open up.

Visite au Domaine Vincent Dauvissat (Au domaine): Arrivés avec quelques minutes de retard, nous avons tout juste le temps de goûter ce beau petit chablis bien frais et crayeux. Une belle entrée en matière.
