  • Drinking pretty well for such a young Chablis.

Mouthfeel is nicely round & creamy. Ripe, Meyer Lemon, green apple, pineapple, lime pulp with some skin, topical melons, guava, chalky power, saline, sea fossils, limestone, touch of caramel, hint of white spice on the long set, yellow & white spring flowers, cool, round acidity, nicely balanced and well polished finish that last nearly two-minutes landing squarely on white spice.

2022 Burgundy vintage is being compared to 1959 and says a lot.

  • Pale lemon-hue. Aromas and flavors of apple, apricot, banana, cream, and peach, with a touch of vanilla. Light body and high acidity. Creamy, buttery finish. Perfect with cheese.

  • Tasted at the Domaine. Wow...was I surprised that a Petite Chablis could taste this good! Definitely a great value in Burgundy, if you can find some! Not quite the same value in the US, as prices are much higher. Certainly drinks like a $80 Chardonnay!

This wine is flinty with lots of acid and good fruit. Good now, but has the stuffing to age at least 5 years, and should further improve! Truly an example of why Dauvissat is a world class producer! 91 points now and should pick up a couple points with time in the cellar! I would like to follow this wine for 5 years, tasting a bottle every year! It's not Grand Cru, but not those prices either! A joy to drink!
