  • fleshy more than fine, this wine has a surprisingly dark fruited profile, which is balanced by a solid acidic core. oodles of fruit applies here, and if were to settle down a bit, it could be quite impressive. HOLD

  • 13% ABV. Medium purple appearance. PnP'd.

On the nose, this unfurls with plush, ripe, and fleshy fruits of red cherry, red plum, and cassis. The fruit is accompanied by notes of clove, wet moss, smoke, and minerality on a prolonged finish. Medium+ acidity holds up to the density of fruit that this is currently showing. Course but approachable tannins that need some time to round out, and will give this a nice backbone to age gracefully. So supple and silky mouthfeel. All this to say that we have tension here folks.

This is drinking so well young right now so I'm very much looking forward to how this develops and (hopefully) improves down the road with more cellar time. I would run to the store and buy as much of this as you can. Outstanding QPR at $55 USD. 92+ now which might be a touch low, but this has potential.

  • Très beau nez de fruits noirs, léger fumée... Superbe salinité, croquant... Super sappy red cherries, very mineral, very delicious!!

  • Nose of red cherries, still very compact, hint of metallic, quite extracted... Fruit is present, loads of ripe tannin loads of red ripe cherries, needs 5 years to integrate.
