Tannins are low/medium; acidity medium also. It's soundly medium-bodied, and has a medium/long finish of interest and some complexity. Couldn't be anything but pinot, not a new-world caricature; this is very impressive, and stood up to a Felton Block 3 that following it (albeit in a different style). On this showing, ought to continue to develop for another 5-8 years easily.

  Delightful wine. Beautiful nose with cherry and berry fruit and plenty of savoury complexity. Great structure with silky tannin, balanced acid and long finish. Again, great blend of primary fruit, and savoury, meaty, forest floor elements. Just as delicious as the 2007, but a more subtle and balanced wine.
