This has always been one of the better '04s I purchased. The fruit has entered full maturity with lovely sweetness. No green, there is terrific grip. Not great wine but very nice. (90)

This is a great wine. Bright tart cherries, licorice, herbs, underbrush. Solid, four-square and totally unctuous. Very Nuits. This keeps calling you back from more. I have always been impressed with quality of winemaking at Dm Tardy. I have not regretted buying so heavily in '04. I have found the vast majority of these anything but green. Should have bought more! Didn't hold up well the second day.

Totally agree with DBKITC. This is really solid and respectible juice, as Tardy usually is. Excellent Nuits characteristics of dark fruits, minerals, and forest floor. There is a great woodsy character to this. I have worked through a ton of '04 burgundy over the last 6 years and I can say rather emphatically that the reputation of greenery is totally unfounded. These have evolved wonderfully in the bottle (every bit as good as my '02s dare I say!). To think I probably paid less than $20 for this is an embarassment. The New World should be ashamed.

This is a delicious '04 burgundy. Clear adolescent Pinot nose that has no green aspects whatsoever. The palate is loaded with sweet fruit and the finish is strong. I would never guess this as a 2004. Should continue to improve for a few years. (89)

Nice dark cherry fruit balances out the cigar, earth tones. The freshness of the fruit shows thru as the tannins & hard acid have softened. Drink now or hold a few more years
