Ye Olde Riesling Dinner (SDK - Castro): The broadest, ripest wine out of the three Donnhoff GGs, but it still has good acidity. Not flabby, with plenty of mineral cut, and if I had it by itself (which I did last time I had this and enjoyed quite a bit back then), it would be a good wine. But it was just simpler than the other Donnhoffs and was plain outclassed.

Ye Olde Rieslings: The tightest of the 3 Dönnhoff GGs. A wall of minerals, with some rainwater flowing through, yuzu aromatics, high acid, and more minerals piled on top for good measure. A bit linear and hard to get a read, although clearly a lot of stuffing. Maybe this will be the greater wine in 15 years, but right now it's the least extroverted. 91++
- no decanting - very nice and expressive Riesling nose, stony but not as much as Mosel Riesling have. Subtle aromas of lemon peel, gras, apple and slightly tropical fruits a.o. pinapple and litchi. Just deep. - On the palate really honest and straight forward. It offers more and more with every sip and with this amazing acidity is just a great dry Riesling out of Germany. On the first day it stood out by it suprising length. Great value for money.

Great notes preceding this one. Concur with all. Colour: light gold, bright, clear. Nose: full, fresh, intense stone fruit with some floral notes Taste: light body, rounded, bright, crisp, stone fruits, good acidity, long dry finish, spice, stove fruits. Overall, a stunning wine that is still a baby.

An eclectic night (Trapet, Duroché, Yquem,...) (Tøyen, Oslo): Slow-oxed 2 hours prior to serving
The nose has pure white fruits, red apple and elderflower.
The palate is harmonious with integrated tannins and a very long grapefruit-infused finish.
