  • Robe jaune dorée;
    Nez en fraîcheur. sur un mélange de fruit à chaire jaune comme l'ananas & la mangue qui aurait été écrasé sur des galets de rivières. Il y a côté florale bien développé, une pointe de gomme à savon ainsi qu'une arrière trame de cire d'abeille.
    La bouche est large, riche, juste assez supporté par l'acidité. Moins tranchant ce dont à quoi je m'attendais. Ça reste somme toute très bien équilibré. Le fruité en attaque est riche, texture quasi huileuse. La finale est sur les épices vertes séchés, des notes salines & une amertume agréable. Bref, l'ensemble est encore très jeune malgré ces 11 ans. Très bon!

  • Lunch at De Librije *** with Hermanos. Much richer than anticipated. Light footed (at 13%). Paired well with various fish dishes and foie gras with shrimps from the North Sea. Power, delicious but lacking some tension, probably due to the vintage

  • PnP and then drunk over two days, with a small leftover five days later. Next to the Dellchen of the same vintage which was a stunning contrast. The nose was very different, much more on mineral notes, wet slate or something like that. Bolder and heavier, with more evident residual sugar on the palate. I enjoyed it on the first day, but this is borderline too heavy for me. With marinated, spicy chicken it was fine.

    • Nose: Pronounced, floral, subtle petrol, honey, lemon, mango
    • Mouth: Pronounced, slightly sweet taste that is so pleasant, wet stone.

  • I thought this was terrific with good acid but not searing and excellent fruit with modest sweetness
