Sammamish Port Club - February 2019 (Sammamish, Washington): Dark purple in color. Opaque except for some slight lightening on the very edges Light-bodied with medium red fruit on the palate. The medium-long finish is full of flavor with cherry and currant.

Drank a bottle early to check the development. Still mostly primary and highly concentrated. Drink then next bottle in 10 years....5 years at the earliest.

A Nice Saturday Dinner in Oakville with Family Friends: Showing just a bit of development, though this still came across quite youthful to me. Nose is of prunes, dried plums, dried cherries, hints of toasted walnuts and brown sugar. Still focused mostly on the deep ripe fruit. The palate similarly enters on sweet ripe fruit with a good sugar/acid/alcohol balance and just the slightest secondary aromas poking out. Young but quite enjoyable.

This seems a bit past mature judging by color alone as it tends towards more of a brownish red. Decanted about 5-6 hours (a long meal). Very tasty nonetheless. Sweet, dried plums, figs and raisins. Was fading the next day, but still drinkable after a few days. (Update - It really isn't brownish red. My light was bad. I poured another glass after this post. It is ruby/garnet with paling at the edges. Similar taste)

Cinnamon, star anise, currants, dark rum, plums. Very light bodied in comparison to other port I’ve had. Fun, but not great
