  • With my anniversary and birthday both forthcoming, this felt like a fortuitous week to finally dig in to my 7 Days of Tuesdays set! Starting, of course, with the namesake, I was very pleasantly surprised with how this evolved. At cooler temps, the chocolate pops off the palate, playing nicely with the relatively mild bourbon burn. As it warms, pleasant savory notes start to appear, and the bourbon character takes center stage on the finish. If you ask me, this week is off to an awfully good start!

  • I opened my 375 mL bottle earlier today as part of my trip through the 7 Days of Tuesdays set, but I drank it solo. Opened another bottle as my friend was hoping to try it. I don't have much more to say about this bottle that I didn't already say in my other review, so I'll not.

  • Gifted to a friend who was interested in trying it as I had more bottles incoming.

  • It's Tuesday, so it's time for the newness! Honestly can't say this is among my favorite vintages, particularly fresh. For starters, it's not nearly as complex as I've come to expect: it's super dark, very roasty, and has an almost bitter finish. In fact, there's almost no sweetness to be found here: instead, it rounds out to an ultra-dry finish that carries a decent amount of heat, even as it doesn't taste nearly 20%. It will be very interesting to see how this ages.
