Jadot Dinner with Frédéric Barnier (RPM Steak - Chicago IL): In 88/95/97/98 vertical. Open two hours before serving. Black fruit, slightly meaty with firm tannins but good balance. Very good weight and length. Best I can ever recall for this wine, which has never shown this good balance, so I'm optimistic it has finally reached a good drinking window.

2nd Annual Jadot with Frederic Barnier (RPM Steak): Lots of powerful black cherry with earth tones and some spice. This is still fairly angular and un-integrated. Lots of stuffing that is in proportion, so you'd think it will come together with more time.

Attractive complexity on the nose. Harmonious, fruit, spices - all seems in place. Good mouth upon first pour. Some acidity to be sure, but the kind that sustains engagement. Long, fruity. In a good place.

Trying another 95. Very nice nose that makes you feel this wine should be ready, but not even close. Still fairly acidic and tanic. There is a solid core of fruit and structure behind the walls. At about two hours the wine was just becoming approachable. I would not even touch for a minimum of five years. This will never be on the level of the great Jadot BM's, but I am hopeful it will round into an excellent wine sometime in the future.
