Wonderful nose - deep, staying in the nostrils for minutes -berries, oak... Great tannines and a fantastic balance. Will be back in La Morra next week!

Deep boquet with roses, red fruits, licorice and a touch of wet forest in the spring. Taste is deep, and a bit on the fruity side. Very well balanced and showing lots of ripe red berries and cherries. Great acidity as well!

When I bought this, I was a tad confused over whether I was buying a barolo or some declassified stuff or what, but trusted my wineshop and, now, a few years later, I'm wondering why I didn't buy more of it ... electrifying juice with a fleshy mouthfeel that is at once brooding with tannins and oak, while simultaneously springing forth with deep cherry and spice flavors. As befits a great wine, the nose evolved over the course of the night and ran a spectrum of scents from plums, spice, cedar, and berries. Fun to study and to drink.
