Tasted at a Felton Road winery dinner in NJ with winemaker Blair Walter. This wine is a limpid yellow color. It underwent 100% Malolactic fermentation and was aged in 6% new French oak. Despite the malo this has quite high perceived acidity and an overall crystalline nature akin to the best from Chablis. The nose is slightly reduced with very prominent lime and lime pith along with white floral notes, pear and chalk. The palate is crisp, clean and energetic with more of the lime, pear and chalky minerals. Finish is moderately long. Quite tasty and able to be cellared for a decent number of years.

Citrus, grapefruit, white flowers, green apples, and a long finish with lots of minerals. Hints of tropical fruits. Lovely!

New Zealand and French Chardonnays (Auckland, New Zealand): Pale yellow. Tremendous citrus aromas. Medium weight, light oak, and a flavorful mix of sweet, ripe citrus and vanillin. Great seamless mouth feel. Outstanding.

Good wine, well balanced. A little green which I suppose is to be expected from NZ chard (Kumeu seems to have a similar note).
I agree w/ kidsmurf2000 here.
