Dense youthful and extremely young Cabernet fruit! Someone convinced me to open one of these today, but I guess if anything this act of infanticide sort of told me when I needed to open up the other one and when to consider opening up the Wights! Definitely a thick, dense wine without a doubt. This is a classic Napa cab with all of the blackberry on the front, spicy finish, yet a ton of tannic curtain and that led me to wonder what I was missing out on by drinking this probably a little too early! I will definitely try to let the other bottle of this one sit for 3 to 5 years. However, if you are contemplating opening up one of these now, it is really drinking very well as long as you know it is going to be in a unilateral phase right now. I am confident that this wine will not develop any of the charred, smokey fire profile that many people are scared to buy this vintage for.

Classic profile from the more recent style of Lewelling, loads of blue and black fruits, camphor, cinnamon and vanilla, great round texture and purity. Upon opening the finish was a bit short, however with a couple hours of air in bottle the length was much better. Drink now with some air or hold for a year or two.
