  • again, my first bottle was far better, but nonetheless this nebbiolo is a wondeful experience and delivers a number of typical hints of the cepage, although with a slight oxidative note more evident after 2 hours. Tannins are smoothed with a nice silky texture and complex notes of earth and wet leaves coupled with balanced oak and a late memory of graphite and red fruit. Drink up

  • not as wonderful as my first bottle but nonetheless a beautifully complex and tasty nebbiolo to be appreciated in no more than three hours from opening.

  • huge and wonderful nebbiolo from Aldo Conterno (entry label for this top winemaker) which reaches new hights and sparks real emotions with its extreme elegance and complex nose and taste. Wonderful notes of earth and ripe red fruit melt with a seducing nose of elegant oak. At the palate soft tannins (due to ageing and a peculiar winemaking approcach to nebbiolo cepage) perfectly coupled with the best typical characters of nebbiolo. Much more than expectations. Once opened, drink within a few hours due to fast oxidation.

  • Brownish red robe with matching brick red nails, slender appearance. He flaunts it all like a glam queen, the nose is enormous and wide open. Around the table we pick up notes of bitter almonds, solution, crushed wild raspberries, old strawberry jam, rhubarb, vanilla, leather, mushrooms and tapenade. In the mouth the wine is equally slender and rich. The intense aromas makes us think of shining fruit pastilles, with a great wow-factor thanks to the slutty, superripe fruit of raspberries and rhubarb. In spite of the warm year character, the acids are crystal clear. The notes of oak and vanilla may be a tad too much for purists, but it's impossible not to fall for the outward charm of this wine. Our most generous Aldo Conterno so far.
