Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Cava Amethystos vertical tasting (Oenotria Gi): Rainy throughout the summer, lack of heatwave and rain during August, harvest 11/09, 500kg/acre, Cabernet Franc 100%, En primeur sample, right after oak maturation
    -/-
The wine is fruity, bright, vibrant, very ripe black cherry, quite oaky at this point (which makes sense), licorice, black cherry, alcohol warmth, fruit liqueur, raisin, raspberry, fresh floral notes, tight spice notes.
In the palate, the wine shows alcohol heat, more evident oak frame, coffee notes, aggressive tannins due to its youth but not overall aggressive, walnut liqueur, black cherry, medium to full body, medium to high acidity, needs time to settle down, medium finish
