With Flannery Filet Tail…. Very crumbly cork Dark purple and crimson Graphite, earth, Dark Plums, melted Cassis, licorice, black Raspberry. Very Bordeaux like. Tannins almost resolved. Has some tension and energy Gravel? Great showing for an aged Napa cab! Seems like it might hold on but not gonna get any better. Impressive

Opened for NYE starter. This bottling is special because it was one of the first 'good' wines we had in our early days of wine appreciation...back circa 1999. And, we visited the winery as well. The last bottle. Opened and poured, from the cellar. Tight, neutral with a little barn/off notes. With opening - feminine, cherry. Nice aromatics of licorice, dust, leather. Light to medium body.

Still good and singing. Became lighter on fruit but all elements in harmony.

Well past it’s prime. Lost most of its luster.
