{screwcap} Pronounced sense of after-dinner mint. All dark chocolate and spearmint on nose and palate. Soft oak, gentle powdery tannins, low acid. Plenty of ripe warmth, despite the cool-climate sense of the flavours. Medium weight, but a bit short on the finish. I think the winery’s original ambitions for this label were a bit higher than this, but then I imagine higher-priced johnny-come-lately cuvees have pinched the pick of the fruit.
