Savory and soil driven nose, little ferrous with violets, tar, and licorice. Both on the nose and plate it's more herbal and cool-darker fruited than th e'19. Firmer. With sap and density. I tend to underestimate Rocche at this stage. Next year I will understand it more. Finishes with firm tannins. Outstanding plus potential though

11/24/2023 - MC2 Wines Likes this wine:
Piemonte: Truffles instead of Turkey; 11/23/2023-12/2/2023 (Barolo, Barbaresco, Alto Piemonte and of course Alba): So classic and lovely. They talked about the goals of aromatics and elegance and complexity and this wine had all three in spades. It’s very much the wine you can make with more of the sandy soil. Lighter in style. Lots of fruit. Very elegant and refined. I quite enjoyed it.
