This is a beautiful expression of flowers with plums, cherries, and cocoa. As nice as the nose is, it is on the palate, with its silky, creamy, layers of sweet, red, and black fruits that the wine shows its best. It is difficult to believe this is only a second wine, as it competes with many, much more expensive wines from the plateau. Enjoy this while waiting for the Grand Vin to develop. The wine blends 85% Merlot with 15% Cabernet Franc. 14.5% ABV. Drink from 2025-2042. 93-95 Pts.

94 vvPunkte / (85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 60% Neuholz, 14.5% Alkohol) Die Nase zeigt viele Kräuter, rote Kirschen, Zwetschgen, Veilchen, Blütentee und Eukalyptus. Im Gaumen mit viel süsser Frucht, diese ist ungemein knackig, wird umgarnt von wohl dosiertem Tannin und einer frischen Säure, die Gerbstoffe sind feinmaschig, von sehr guter Qualität, der Wein wirkt trotz 14.5% Alkohol nicht hitzig, bleibt frisch, hält den Druck vom mittleren Gaumen bis in den Abgang aufrecht und hallt auf Sauerkirschen und Brombeeren nach. Very nice balance, elegant, floral red fruits. Medium weight with good structure and some nice toasty oak behind.
