  • 2 of 3 DOA but the 3rd is alive and kicking. Very classic Taillepieds and drinks like a wine that is 20-25y younger. Slightly aged nose but palate is super fresh — red fruit dominant with loads of spice. Finish is a bit short but the spice lingers on the palate and it feels like a good bottle like this can last for decades. Falls short of a great wine but great for the age and worth buying at auction again even at a 33% hit rate.

Just goes to show how long burgundy can last even in so so vintages — we probably drink it all way too young.
