From magnum, and drinking stunningly well right now. It's very young but already very complex with layers of floral, spicy and lower toned pine/earthy elements around a core of incredibly pure, sappy red fruited flavours. There's wonderful freshness here, a sense of lightness and a delicate touch on the palate, and it's fantastic to sit down and follow over the course of dinner.

Light to medium depth. Tangy red fruits at first, then joined by spice, blueberry and a streak of earth. Light and quite tart to start, but gains texture. A slightly underripe red raspberry liqueur quality to this wine. Carried by its acids rather tannin. For Burgundy lovers, this is all elegance and crispness. To Burgundy bashers, thin and acidic. I am in the former camp-just loved this as a mouthwatering example of Chambolle.
