Pinot noir extravaganza (Stockholm, Sweden): Dark red. Nose: M sized with rather attractive aromas of PN and maturity. Palate: Delicious and complex with maturity. The muddled transparency takes away something that this wine may have had if the grapes had been of just a little higher quality... Minerality, albeit not distinct. I perceived this as a REAL wine. Delicious! Completely integrated, intense, very fine oak treatment and a hint of Brett.

Rich, smooth, well-intergated nose, with candied raspberry, blueberry, anise and coriander seed. The palate is similarly rich, smooth and full-flavoured, with complex flavours of shows caramelised pork, clove, cinnamon, raspberry, sage and basil.

Tasted after many many Rieslings, so not the best conditions... Not given much time to breathe, and taken from cellar fairly quickly (it was 40C outside!). Perhaps felt a touch closed and lacking generosity, but overall an enjoyable wine. I think it could well have gone a fair bit longer in magnum format too.

Riesling Rampage: From magnum. Cloudy coloured. Stalky, strawberry, red cherry, and some pretty floral notes. Nice texture to the palate giving it some interest. Savoury with some good intensity to it. Has come together since a disjointed (750ml) bottle I had 6 years ago. Drink now based on this magnum.

Still youthful. White watery rim just starting to brown. Initial nose earthy and then gives way to sweet, bright Pinot fruit. Dry. Moderate acidity. On the palate: fresh strawberries, raspberry. Very good.
