A well made wine, with a specific style that over the years I've liked, then disliked, then liked, then ... you get the idea. Right now this is not in my sweet spot. It has quite intense fruit, with blue and black fruits, cloves, olives and leather. The tannins are firm and well integrated. The acidity is less so. I'm not sure this will improve from here, in fact I think its past its best.
Slightly funky nose, with strong notes of blackberry and black olive. Palate shows bright acidity, dry tea-like tannins, and strong fruit: red cherry, blackcurrant, lemon, pepper. Good balance and depth.
