dark purplish ruby and full-bodied. a bit of funk on the nose clears to reveal dark berries, whiffs of charcuterie, tarragon and leather. very fresh and fruity on the entry, pepper and earthy notes add quite a bit of depth to the layers of (still) crunchy berries. very long, with some balsamic hints at about the minute mark.
far more youthful than one would expect and with room for further development. there's upside potential here.

Screwcap. Nose of blackberry syrup, leather, some pepper, herb. Lovely deep, rich cloak. Palate; mouth coating, dark fruit, tangy, medium weight, tannins kept in check, finish is balanced and long. Palate fruit is still quite youthful and could help this well into the future. Lovely Victorian shiraz at its best with potential for greater upside. 92+

Screwcap, 14.5% alc. Dark red – black. Minimal bricking.
A seductive aroma of dark berries, cherry, deli meats, leather, herbs, and malt biscuits.
Richly fruited yet supple, with waves of flavour spreading across the palate. Tannic grip, integrated into the wine. Perfect acidity. Very good length.
Opinion: so alluring. The aroma keeps bringing you back to the glass. Youthful but full of complexity. Give it air and drink over the next 8–10 years.

Excellent, superb Aussie shiraz. A whipping 15% alc. Colour: blackberries, minimal browning Bouquet: blackberries, ants, slight hamminess Palate: like bouquet, plus blueberries, eucalyptus, black pepper, with big soft tannins. Full bodied with ample fruit cassis and tannins balancing the alcohol, and finishing clean and very long. Would live a while yet because fruit is quite fresh still. Still drinking beautifully on 2nd night and fruit so fresh still. It's actually better than 1st night.
