Toscana 99 with Vitis Bergensis (Hotel Terminus, Bergen, Norway): Incredible nose. Lots of cherries, very pure cherries. The nose is hovewer better than the palate. It is a little thin, with more acid than taste. Not bad, but clearly outclassed by Valdipiatta and Fontodi in this flight.

Deep Purple coloring with excellent structure; An initial barnyard aroma passed with mint, pepper, eucylptus and then black berry fruit. It took approximately 1-2 hours to open completely and for the tannins to drop away. This was a gift bottle and a very good one.

Consumed 1 year ago after ~1.5hrs decanting and recall liking the wine very much but it didn't leave a lasting, overwhelming impression.
