  double blind. i thought it was one of the new odd ball chards from lompoc, but it turned out to be different because of the non malolactic fermentation. i haven't had a forman chard in at least 5 years. i recall liking the late 90s versions much better. interesting as an oddity, but doesn't have any guts/complexity.

  BODY: light golden yellow color; medium-full bodied.
  
  TASTE: pretty oaky on the attack – much less so than the previous bottle I had (11/14/2009); rich tropical flavors; creamy; good minerality on the long finish; 13.9% alc. is not noticeable; full palate. Pretty good, but not as good as the 11/14 bottle. No malo, but plenty of lees stirring. Has the stuffing and acidity to age well.

  Wow!! As this initially hit my front palate, it seemed like a "nice, ho-hum good quality" non-malo chard -- nice minerality, good acidity. As the wine progressed to my rear palate it blossomed and showed an incredible richness that I was not expecting from a non-malo'ed Chard.. Paired wonderfully with butternut squash ravioli. Gut impression score: 91-93.
