A birth year wine to celebrate a close friend's 50th. Wow - this is still bright and fresh and very much alive. Color was still mostly red with some browning - quite translucent. On the nose, earth and crushed flowers. On the palate this had bright acidity, earth, tar and a bit of red fruit. Improved over the course of two hours with airtime. Really fun to share a 50 year old wine in celebration of a milestone birth year.
