  From DMag, the oldest Pison I had so far, apparently not a great vintage but wine was definitely delicious, not heavy, maybe a bit short on the palate but nose & mouth really good. Was preferred by the group over the 2004 Vina de Andres which is a totally different style of Rioja

Donker fruit, geconfijte kers, opvallende zoetige kruiderij, laurier, zoethout, Smaak / Afdronk: Ook in de mond rijp-zoete indrukken, kruiden en geconfijte kers, subtiele zuurgraad, zachte tannines met een prettige 'bite'. Lange afdronk. Algemeen / potentieel: Geen spoor van verkleuring, veroudering of vermoeidheid. Lekker. Maar te weinig inhoud en structuur om groots te worden. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 11 + Smaak / Afdronk: 16 + Algemeen / potentieel: 7 = 89/100\

  Incredible dark fruit, minerals, and a menthol accent, and still youthful with vibrant acidity and ample velvet tannin come together in a stunning blend of grace and power that begs for serene contemplation.
