  • Lovely flavours, still great raspberry coming through with unctuous feel that lingers. Leathery notes and bang on long finish.

  • It’s at the beginning of its prime drinking window which should last for over a decade. Great blue and black fruits, tobacco, oak chips, <insert more oak descriptors here>, long finish with medium+ tannins and medium acidity.

  • Mostly Bordeaux dinner (Eddie V's - Tysons Corner, VA): Intense nose displaying intense black fruit, noticeable oak, chocolate, coffee ice cream and earth. Excellent concentration, packed concentrated black fruit, medium acidity, medium mineral, strong slightly dry tannins and a long intense black fruit driven finish with a bit of heat at the end. This is a Rioja in steroid.

  • Kleur: Robijnrood. Aroma / bouquet: In dit stadium nog opvallend gesloten, ook na 24 uur! beluchting). Donker fruit, mint, zacht zoete drop (Kokindjes). Smaak / Afdronk: Een serieus geconcentreerde wijn met een sublieme balans. Een aangename, frisse en sappige zuurgraad, prachtig gerijpte en geïntegreerde tannines. De wijn is 17 jaar oud maar is serieus fris, jeugdig en vitaal, zonder spoor van veroudering in kleur, bouquet of smaak. Prachtig geïntegreerd, subtiel houtgebruik. Algemeen / potentieel: Grootse wijn met nog een lange toekomst voor zich. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 14 + Smaak / Afdronk: 19 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 97/100

The wine is 17 years old but is seriously fresh, youthful and vital, with no trace of aging in color, bouquet or taste. Beautifully integrated, subtle use of wood. General / potential: Great wine with a long future ahead of it. 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 14 + Taste / Finish: 19 + Overall / potential: 9 = 97/100
