I'n not normally a fan of Beaujolais, but if it tastes good, hey it tastes good. I was introduced to this on Nouveau release day as an alternative with more structure, and I'm glad it was. Dark, medium heavy bodied. Rustic, but not overly. Mature red fruit. Relatively low alcohol. Slightly tannic. Some oak. Had a couple of glasses and will try more.

Funk, bright nose, slightly fizzy right out of the bottle but that passed quickly. Delicious, really nice value.

nose: easy going nose of strawberries, cherries and some bits of berries
taste: light feel with fresh medium acidity and tones of strawberries and cherries. Nice and easy with a style that is very accessible
overall: a decent enough wine. Pretty standard and uninspiring. May make for a decent food wine, but its rather non-descript
