Dinner with Sandy and gang – Paired spectacularly with a roasted squash soup. Absolutely singing, with almond paste, caramel, popcorn, coconutty minerally goodness. Some of that lanolin/fresh clean sheets meets edamame (now there’s a whopper!). The combo transcended the individual parts.

BBQ K&L -- A lovely summer white, showing as I'd remembered in Hermitage a few weeks back. Good acidity and juiciness, yet there is an interesting nutty Northern Rhone element there too...

Northern Rhone Visit, May 2009; 5/14/2009-5/17/2009 (Condrieu, Ampuis, Cornas, Tain -- France): Dinner at Chaudron, Tournon, France (Hermitage) -- By the glass, an absolutely great food wine with fish appetizer and lightly prepared chicken dish. Great balance of fruit, spice and floral elements, all with bracing acidity. Bravo!
