  • Served 7/12/13 at the Cincinnati Society of Bacchus summer dinner at Crosley mansion. Paired with duck terrine, cranberry poached pears, and pistachio gremolata. No formal notes. From memory: Beautiful mature Brugundy plucked from the Society cellar. Earthy & subtle. Powerful but elegant. Excellent length. Bright, food-friendly acidity. This was my WOTN.
