Soave tasting (Piacenza Expo, Piacenza, Italy): Da magnum. Giallo oro carico. Naso di grande complessità, salino, fruta candita, macchia mediterranea, miele, zafferano pietra focaia. Buona struttura molto morbido, sapido e con buona spina acida. Bellissimoe lunghissimo finale.

Journey through the Adriatic (Waterford Wine Co., Milwaukee): yellow color. yesterday's socks is the first thing that comes to mind and no one else disagrees. mellow nuttiness. moss and forest floor. i do quite enjoy this nose. palate shows light florals up front and then finishes with elegant well placed almond. not really fruit driven.

Pretty dark yellow. lemon, pineapple and smoky melon nose. Nice lemon and mineral flavours with that slightly oxidised finish one can expect from Gargenega. Very dry. Excellent for me.

Some oxidized apples on the creamy nose along with some citrus and oak. Medium body with a medium finish. Was decent but wouldn't buy again. Went fairly well with a couple of cheese Euphoria from Holland and Fromage d'Affinois from France. Awkward on the palate with a heaviness that didn't have the acids to back it up.

Waterford Italian Adriatic Coast Staff Training (Waterford Wine Co.): N. Brighter fruit than Inama Soave Classico. Rich with a little cheese, honey, and clover flower.
P. Rich fruit, intensely nutty. Love the palate weight!
(This and the Pieropan La Rocca are my two favorite Soaves, and this one, in particular pairs wonderfully with powerful cheeses.)
