Recent purchase (4/18) from the winery during its "moving sale". I've always liked the vintage, partly for being atypical. A change once in a while is good, right? I did not think they'd last, but when the opp came up to try again at 15 years of age...why not! Garnet color, no brick! Lovely soft nose and texture. Tannins resolved but support the dark cherry, plum, berries, earth / forest floor, and baking spice. On plateau with nowhere to go but down, drink!

Every time I crack open a bottle of St. I PN, I am so very pleasantly surprised. This is drinking extremely well right now, especially if you let it open up about 1-2 hours. Balance, great coating of the tongue with berry flavors and just the right touch of terroir that make Mark's wines so special. Too bad that was the last one!!!

Quite an imposing 2003 Pinot Noir from Oregon here. Spicy nose of black cherries with a bit of cedar. Also some high toned strawberry notes. In the mouth still rather tannic and stern but with a tongue enveloping sweetness. Good acidity makes the whole package really tasty and refreshing. This is still pretty young and I'd guess it could go at least another five years with further positive development. Love the St. Innocent style of Pinot!

Annual Tasting Group Holiday Party (Il Foro, Mpls, MN): Very small taste, didn't take any notes on this, just remember liking it and thinking it was holding up.
