  • Astonishing bouquet, thick, rich, oily, and intense. Aromatically superior to most dessert wines, but the palate is dry. Eye popping concentration and extract, and just simply spicy, deeply fruited, complex, and delicious. Should last a long time given how past vintages of this have performed.

  • Same as previous comments. What struck me this time was how present the botrytis was. Yummy! Last one from a half-bottle. Moving on to the 2010 which seem to be slightly less sweet and have more delineation when it comes to the purity of the aromas. 89

  • At ten years golden color with floral and perfumed aromas. On the pallet balanced with round warm mouth feel, balanced with hints of spice and tropical fruit and a hint of honey. Excellent well crafted wine enjoyed-following a blind tasting of Piedmont red wines.

  • The world's best Gewurztraminer comes from Alsace, and Zind-Humbrecht arguably is a strong candidate for the greatest producer in Alsace. His Gewurztraminer usually features some residual sugar and is a counterexample for the claim that great white wines are based on bright acidity and a lighter body. Here the acidity is low and the wine is viscous with an alcohol level well above 15%. Rich flavors abound of apricot, lychee nut, rose water, and sweet spices. One of the world's greatest food and wine pairings is Zind-Humbrecht Gewurztraminer with Thai food.

  • Une autre superbe bouteille de ce grand vin. Aussi en forme qu'il y a un an. Couleur or rose, nez floral et épicé.
Splendide!
