(home tasting) The label says it's matured in new oak and definately feels like it. The oak is everywhere and only after a lot of stirring it goes away to leave it's place to vanilla and ripe fruits like medlar. The sweetness of the alcohol is there (13%vol) when you taste it but it gets lost suddenly and oak replaces it once more. It has a lot of acidity that makes it rather aggressive. This wine is uneven and not that balanced. I should try another bottle, hoping it will be better.

Pale yellow color. Scents of citrus, pears, butter and oaky vanilla. Full - bodied and balanced, with good acidity and smoky character, but too much oak on the palate (as always with greek chardonnays). Good match with trout and asparagus.

This was my third tasting of this wine, at home, to accompany a chicken souvlaki dinner. The 2 previous tastings were done during a Greek white wines and a Greek Chardonnay tasting sessions, respectively. Results were consistent. Straw yellow. Ripe mellon and subtle oak with buttery notes. Oak adds complexity without overshadowing the fruit. Mid-full bodied with massive fruit, sweetness and balancing acidity. Fairly long finish. This is a very well made, fruit driven Chardonnay from a highly respected (in Greece) winemaker, who excells mainly with his monovarietal whites from international grape varieties, namely Chardonnay, Viognier (CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT) and Sauvignon Blanc. This Chardonnay was awarded golden metal at the "Chardonnay du Monde" competition.

Absolutely fantastic chardonnay. Like a mix of chablis and chassange-montrachet (if that makes any sense).

Retailer tasting (@ WWi): Pleasant acidity. No luxury. Too young maybe?
