  • During a Confrerie 2007 BYO tasting dinner, so just short impressions. No surprise on the overall vintage performance, the 2007 are mostly light and harmless compared to better vintages. TN: One of the positive surprises of the evening. Earthy aromas with a touch of game, soft tannins good mouth feel. Very nice for the vintage.

  • Really surprised by how unevolved this wine was, lots of sweet new French oak coats the wine underneath, though I would like it to resolve a lot before drinking again this Chambertin shows great depth and lateral richness for a 2007, ripe with dark cherry, almost currant, broad though nicely rounded; delicious; 93+.
